Special Air Services- Canada Inc. Part Number 9536921-201 is a newly designed and manufactured “Drill Bushing Handle” intended to be used with an “OD Drill Bushing” to ensure the transfer and accurately positioning of a fastener holes.

We have designed and produced these Drill Bushing Handles primarily for the structural craftsman working the Aerospace Industries. However, experience has shown, our tools have been used, as well, in many other industries.

Its design has been developed as the results of requests and suggestion by our customers who have used many of our tools for decades.

It combines a compact light weight bushing handle, precision machined to close tolerances (±0.001), to provide an ergonomic tool, easy hold and use.  It grips the drill bushing tightly preventing unintended rotation of the bushing in the workpiece.  This improves the safety and efficiency of the process and eliminates the potential of slipping when held by hand. 

Although this Drill Bushing Handle is specifically designed to interface with the SAS-Canada’s OD Drill Bushing (Transfer Bushing), it will easily provide excellent holding and alignment with most manufacturer’s Drill Bushings having a bushing head outside diameter of 0.625” (+0.010” to -0.010”).  (OD Drill Bushings shown in the photos are sold separately or in sets).

The Drill Bushing Handle is machined from 7075-T65 Aluminum alloy.  After machining it is anodized to provide wear and corrosion resistance.  The red color is intended to make the Drill Bushing Handle highly visible when used in, on and near aircraft.

A tightening socket head cap screw and stainless-steel Threaded Insert are installed to permit the retention of the Drill Bushing in the handle during use. We include a standard hex Allen key with each unit.

The compact design can be used in tight spaces where fasteners or transitions in skin thickness or laps occur.

We have engraved the Drill Bushing Handle to include the part number and a serial number.  The serial number may be helpful should you be working in a tool control system environment.
