This set of Sixteen (16) Threaded – Internal Diameter Drill Bushings has been designed to meet the specific needs for the standard, oversize and undersized fasteners used in the aircraft/aerospace industry.  The sizes in this set have been machined to accommodate the following drill sizes:

Each Drill Bushing has been turned from Precision Ground O-1 tool steel.  The outside diameter of the bushing has been held to a precise tolerance of 0.0501″ ± 0.001”.    After the bushings are machined, they are heat treated and tempered.  This process produces a bushing with a hardness measurement of 60+ on the Rockwell C scale, making the bushing extremely resistant to wear during use.

The threaded OD of the bushing is a standard ½-13 Unified National Coarse thread.  The bushing design includes a 9/6” hexagonal head, machine in the top of the bushing. A common 9/16” wrench is used to tighten and loosen the bushing in a Drill Egg Cup or Drill Stand.

A tray is included to hold store the set.  This tray is machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum.  The top of the tray is engraved with the bushing size for easy identification and organization in your tool box. The tray is anodized to ensure wear and scratch resistance and presents a professional appearance. We have also added rubber feet to the tray to improve stability in handling.

In the Egg Cup Shown in the last photo, we have installed a stainless-steel thread inset (sometimes referred to as a Helicoil) to accept the ½-13” thread of the Threaded Drill Bushing to add strength and wear resistance to the aluminum, thereby ensuring long and trouble-free use.
